Kelly Hunter was named the Big Ten Setter of the Week on Monday, the conference office announced.
The honor is the first career one for Hunter, a sophomore from Papillion, Neb. The Husker captain was named the most valuable player of the Nebraska Invitational on Saturday. She led Nebraska to a 3-0 record with 12.0 assists per set, 2.2 digs per set and 1.2 kills per set.
Hunter set career highs of 50 assists, 11 digs and eight kills in a 3-1 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday night, nearly missing Nebraska's first triple-double since 2002. She guided the Husker offense to a .317 hitting percentage for the weekend.
