Senior Ana Zamburek was honored by the Big Ten on Monday, Jan. 6, as a preseason athlete to watch entering the 2024-25 women’s tennis season.
A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Zamburek has been a constant in the Husker lineup the last two seasons, seeing action in five positions. She holds a career singles record of 33-44, highlighted by 14 wins last spring. On the doubles side, Zamburek has a 33-21 record and she and her teammate, Anfisa Danilchenko, held a season-high ranking of No. 25 in 2024.
Zamburek and the Huskers begin the 2024-25 season on the road at UC Riverside on Thursday, Jan. 16.
