After an off-weekend for the Big Red, eight Huskers from the Nebraska men’s tennis team are in the main draw for Lincoln’s UTR Pro Tennis Tour Tournament, running Monday, Feb. 24 to Sunday, March 2. The singles tournament will take place at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center.
Senior Calvin Mueller leads the pack, seeded No. 1 with a PTT Rank of 692. Anton Shepp, Nikolay Sysoev and Lars Johann join Muller in the top-five, as well as Arkansas’ Gabriel Elicha Navas. The tournament will host a main draw of 20, where NU athletes will compete unattached.
Round One matches will begin at 2 p.m. (CT) on Feb. 24, and the Playoff Round will run on the weekend, March 1-2.
The UTR PTT tournament at Nebraska facilities was announced in November 2024, as part of UTR Sports’ collegiate partnership expansion.
After the conclusion of the tournament, the Huskers resume their dual spring season, with a doubleheader hosting Creighton at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. (CT) on Sunday, March 2.
