Huskers Take Six Titles at Central Nebraska Challenge

Nebraska track and field earned six titles on Friday at UNK’s Central Nebraska Challenge, hosted at Kearney High School. 

On the field, Lauren St. Peters (53.20m, 174-6) won the discus title, Sage Burbach earned the women’s shot put event (16.15m, 52-11 ¾) and Kael Miedema rounded out the group with the men’s shot put title (17.08m, 56-0 ½). On the track, Sam Easley won the men’s 800m (1:51.47) and Deavion Deleon (2:17.85) won the women’s side, and Alea Hardie took the women’s 1500m title (4:43.11). 

Up next, the Huskers hit the road for the Stanford Invitational and the Florida Relays on April 4-5.
