Nebraska ended with an even-par 288 in the closing round to complete a 15th-place finish at the Clemson Invitational on Sunday in Sunset, S.C.
Competing in a loaded 15-team field that featured eight top-40 teams, the Huskers totaled 891 (+27) over three rounds on the par-72, 6,489-yard layout of The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
No. 24 Ohio State captured the team title at 819 (-45), including back-to-back rounds of 272 (-16) to close the tournament. The Buckeyes held off No. 2 Arkansas despite a final-round 268 (-20) from the Razorbacks, who finished 10 shots behind OSU at 829 (-35). No. 11 LSU took third at 838 (-26).
Miu Takahashi led the Huskers by tying for 45th individually with a 218 (+2), including a final-round 70 (-2) on Sunday. Hannah Kono added a tie for 60th at 223 (+7), including a final-round 69 (-3).
Freshman Eden Lohrbach added a tie for 66th at 225 (+9) in an 84-player field that featured 23 of the top-150 golfers in NCAA Division I. Redshirt sophomore Symran Shah settled for a tie for 79th at 231 (+15), while fellow redshirt sophomore Lauren Thiele rounded out the Husker contingent in 83rd at 233 (+17).
Ohio State's Kary Hollenbaugh took home medalist honors at 200 (-16), including a final-round 64 (-8). Hollenbaugh, the No. 22 golfer in the country held off No. 12 Kendall Todd from Arkansas by a single stroke. Todd finished at 201 (-15), including a remarkable final-round 61 (-11).
Nebraska returns to action next weekend at the Terps Invitational in College Park, Md. (April 6-7), which marks the final regular-season tournament for the Huskers ahead of the Big Ten Championships in Havre de Grace, Md. (April 18-20).
