2024 (Sophomore)
After a position switch from fullback to wide receiver, Janiran Bonner has played in every game this season with three starts. He has caught nine passes for 56 yards while rushing twice for 11 yards and one touchdown. Bonner is one of two Huskers with both a rushing and receiving touchdown this season.

Bonner started the season opener against UTEP and set career highs with three catches and 26 receiving yards. He also had a career-long 14-yard reception against the Miners. Bonner made his second start of the season against Northern Iowa and had a five-yard catch. He caught a one-yard touchdown pass against Illinois for his first career touchdown reception. Bonner added an 11-yard rushing touchdown against Rutgers. He had a three-yard reception at Ohio State. Bonner started his third game of the season against UCLA. He tied his career high with three receptions at USC, finishing with 21 receiving yards.

2023 (Redshirt Freshman)
Bonner saw action in the backfield in all 12 games, including three starts. He finished with four carries for nine yards and one touchdown, and he also had a five-yard reception.

Bonner had the first two carries of his career against Michigan, gaining five yards. He had his first career reception with a five-yard catch at Illinois. Bonner started against Purdue and had a two-yard carry. He scored his first career touchdown with a two-yard run on a third-and-goal play against Maryland.

2022 (Redshirt)
Janiran Bonner did not play in a game in 2022. Although he redshirted, Bonner made the travel roster for every road trip.

Before Nebraska (Cedar Grove HS)
Bonner was a standout wide receiver for Cedar Grove High School. He helped the Saints win three Georgia Class 3A state championships.

Bonner had 50 catches for 816 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior while helping Cedar Grove to a 12-3 record. He had eight catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the state championship game, including an 80-yard touchdown reception. Bonner was recognized as an all-state performer as a senior.

A consensus four-star recruit, Bonner was ranked among the top 50 wide receivers in the country by both Rivals and 247Sports. He chose Nebraska after originally committing to Georgia Tech.

Janiran was born on Nov. 6, 2003, and he is the son of Rasheenea Young. He is majoring in child, youth and family studies.
