Freshman (2024-25)
Riley posted a strong individual performance in the 500 free (5:10.43) collecting a second place finish in a dual against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Nov. 8. She also helped contribute to a second place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:58.93) alongside teammates Madison Lloyd, Amelia Riggot, and Jenna Brown. Lastly, Miklos swam a leg of the 200 free relay (1:41.04) helping her team place in third place.

Miklos continued strong in the dual against the Kansas Jayhawks (Nov. 1) by delivering a first-place finish and personal best in the 1000 freestyle (10:10.01) and adding a fourth-place finish in the 500 free (4:59.82). She also contributed to a third-place performance in the 400 freestyle relay (3:27.08) alongside teammates JoJo Randby, Jazmyn Lunn and Anna Vlachou.

Miklos posted a strong performance in the 500 free (5:07.51) in a dual against the Iowa State Cyclones (Oct. 25) at the Devaney Center. She was a runner-up in the 1650 free (17:20.97), and also set a fourth-place finish in the 100 free (54.10). 

Miklos set steady performances in a dual against Iowa in Iowa City (Oct. 18). She recorded two fifth-place finishes in the 100 (53.23) and 500 (5:07.55) freestyle. She swam a 1:55.55 in the 200 freestlye earning herself a sixth-place finish. She also helped her fourth-place finishing team in the 400 freesyle relay (3:35.20) as a leg alongside Jojo Randby, Caterina Bisiacchi, and Anna Vlachou. 

Riley Miklos showed strong potential in the distance freestyle events in Nebraska's season-opening double-dual with No. 24 Minnesota and South Dakota. The freshman from Richmond, Va., notched a fourth-place finish in the 1,000 free (10:25.65) while adding a sixth-place performance in the 500 freestyle (5:10.91). Miklos also swam a strong 100 split (53.05) in the 400 free relay against the Golden Gophers and Coyotes.

Before Nebraska
Miklos joined the Huskers from Richmond, Va. She was a state finalist for Deep Run High School in the 200 and 500 freestyle in 2023. With her club team, Nova of Virginia Aquatics, Miklos was the 2023 Virginia short-course state finalist in the 200, 500 and 1000 freestyle as well as the 200 butterfly. At the 2024 NCSA Spring Championships, she finished 12th in the long-course 800 freestyle (9:08.66) and 13th in the long-course 100 freestyle (58.03).

Personal
The daughter of Chris Miklos and Dr. Megan Cassidy, Riley Miklos was born on December 7, 2005. She has one sister, Cassidy and one brother, Owen. Miklos will major in Computer Science at Nebraska. 

“I chose Nebraska because I felt the environment, coaches, and teammates would enable me to be the best swimmer and student I could be,” Miklos said.
